Here's something that's super cool. Several years ago, I had done a couple features for the good folks at Warner Bros. on their show The Real Adventures of Jonny Quest. As often happens,
the first box set was released but ultimately the second box set sat on a shelf for one reason or another.
The good news is that the on-demand market continues to thrive and now the second set that completes out the first season of The Real Adventures of Jonny Quest is available (known as Season One Volume Two) as an on-demand order from
Amazon or through the
WBShop.
The best part is that it includes a featurette called "Journey Into Questworld" which I had done, in what seems like another lifetime ago, at my previous employer Trailer Park. It's an interesting look into how difficult the CG animation process (and expensive) it was at the time and even though the animation is antiquated by today's Pixar and beyond standards, it really broke ground for those to come.

Late Friday night last week, the proprietor of our company, Mark Herzog ran into my office on his way out the door... "Hey, you've got a shoot on Sunday at the DGA with Martin Scorsese and James Cameron."
As I post this nearly a week later, the janitors are still having to vacuum around my fallen jaw.
Take a look at the featurette that we produced with the Hollywood Reporter and the good folks at Paramount where Scorsese discusses his first venture into the third dimension! For more, you can read Jay Fernandez of the Hollywood Reporter's
interview transcript at the Hollywood Reporter website.

This past weekend, for Summit Entertainment through my gracious employer Herzog & Company - we spent a little time with die-hard Twilight fans that started sleeping in line four days early for a San Diego Comic-Con panel. Unbeknownst to them, the studio had arranged a surprise for them. The result is this piece which we shot Wednesday and Thursday, edited in a hotel room Thursday morning, and was online and out to news outlets by 5pm on Thursday evening...

Not able to make it to San Diego for the annual elbow-to-elbow, shoulder-to-shoulder mayhem? Not to worry, we've got you covered! Thanks to all of the super crazy technological advancements in this wave of the future that we call present day, now you can see Comic-Con through Troy's eyes.
That's right, marvel as he hangs out in line for Hall H, get a first-hand description of the pungent odor coming from the only operating restroom facility, glimpse excessive photographs of Slave Leias, and a whole lot more. It'll be like you're actually there hanging out with Troy (and you'll be running for the exits just as if you were too)!

Check it out then leave your comments here on the SPT forums!
Here's a quick preview of the show...

Another spot that the Herzog & Company gang did for Paramount Pictures has popped up all over the internet and
over at MichaelBay.com. Don't try this at home (not that you'd probably ever think of doing so if you're right of mind):

This past Wednesday, I had the opportunity to work with an rock-star crew from
Paramount and
Herzog & Company to cover directors Michael Bay and James Cameron discussing the current state of 3D, the future, and how it pertains to the third Transformers film,
Dark of the Moon. Following the shoot's wrap at 9 that night, a tireless crew worked around the clock to create this piece to go live on
Michael Bay's website and around the rest of the internet with the new 3D trailer unveiled in front of
Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides on Friday.
Much more to definitely come as it's released. An insurmountable thanks to the production crew, offline and online editors, post staff, and everyone that watched a couple of sunrises from the office with us to get this done.
UPDATE:
The longer version we cut is also on Michael Bay's website and the Hollywood Reporter:

Congratulations to Fox, Universal, Charles de Lauzirika, Laurent Bouzereau, and the entire teams behind both the Alien Anthology and the Back to the Future 25th Anniversary sets for nominations in the "Best DVD Movie Collection" category in this year's Saturn Awards! Wow! Now that's a one/two punch of nominations! There are other great titles nominated this year as well, including a few made by some great talented friends. Congrats all around!
